How to use this SGPA to CGPA Calculator

This tool uses the standard weighted average formula to convert your Semester Grade Point Averages (SGPA) into a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Here is how to use it:

  1. Enter SGPA: Input your SGPA for each semester. This is usually a number between 0 and 10.
  2. Enter Credits: Input the total number of credits (or credit hours) for that semester. This is crucial because semesters with more credits have a higher weight in your overall CGPA.

The SGPA to CGPA Formula

Your CGPA is not just a simple average of your SGPAs (unless every single semester has the exact same number of credits). Instead, it is a weighted average:
